About the Journal

Our Focus and Scope

Boletim Campineiro de Geografia is a scientific-cultural publication affiliated with AGB-Campinas, with the aim of providing a platform for the dissemination and discussion of academic works in the field of Geography (and/or other areas that establish a connection with Geography). This includes articles, book reviews, translations, geographical discussions, and interviews.

The journal has been published periodically since 2011.

Peer Review Process

The proposed articles will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee. It is the responsibility of the Scientific Committee to assess the texts and contributions proposed and provide opinions in accordance with what is established by the Journal: "favorable without any restrictions," "favorable, provided that the suggested revisions are made," and "unfavorable."

The proposals will be sent to two reviewers. In case of disagreement between them, a third reviewer will be consulted.

Authors whose work receives an "unfavorable" review have no recourse.

Book reviews will not be subjected to peer review unless they focus on books dealing with highly specific subjects. In such cases, they may be evaluated by a professor who is a member of the Scientific Committee with knowledge and/or familiarity with the subject or by ad hoc consultants. In any case, they will be evaluated by members of the Editorial Board.
